Recap on Cell

The type of cell I want to write on is a plant cell. Probably one from the leaf of a plant.
1 : nucleus
3 : cell membrane
4 : cytoplasm
5 : cell wall
6 : vacuole
7 : chloroplasts

The nucleus ensures that the cell is working properly which is like the brain of the cell.
It contains the genetic information of the plant and can be extracted for gentic enginerring.
Without the nucleus the cell will die. Thus, this is the most important part of the cell.

The cell membrane is composed of protein and lipid (fat) molecules. It acts as a boundary layer to contain the cytoplasm (fluid in cell) and interlocks surfaces bind cells together. It is also
selectively permeable to select chemicals that pass in and out of cells. Without this the cytoplasm cannot be kept together.

The cytoplasm consists of water, salt, organic molecules, as well as enzymes which help catalyze the reactions with the cytoplasm. It holds together all of the cell's organelles, and divides the organelles within the cell.

The cell wall is a non-living secretion of the cell membrane, composed of cellulose. The cellulose fibrils are deposited in alternating layers for strength. It contains pits (openings) that make it totally permeable. It provides protection from physical injury and together with vacuole, it provides skeletal support. Thus giving the cell a shape. One way to break the cell wall is to boil the plant and then extract the cell from the plant.

The vacuole is a single layer of unit membrane that encloses fluid in a sack. It produces turgor pressure against cell wall for support. It also stores water and various chemicals including insoluble wastes.

The chloroplasts contains a greenish subtance called chlorophyll.
chlorophyll enables the plant to trap sunlight and thus it is very important without chlorophyll the plant cannot trap light and cannot photosynthesise and then the plant will die eventually. This is also a important part of the cell.

As the cell is known as the smallest unit of life, it is very important of the organism.

It move around the plant and send food and water and air to differrent parts of the plant.

It also uses its chlorophyll to trap sunlight in order for the leaves of the plant to photosynthesise and make food for the plant to stay healthy and alive.

The cell is the unit of life and contains the D.N.A of the plant and thus allowing genetic enginerring and cause improvement in the plant.

Without the cell, the continuity of the plant cannot be assured and will of course be extinct eventually.
